Students who struggle most need their parents and teachers to work together, educators around the state say. But often those parents are the most difficult to get involved.
“The parents that you really need to see generally don’t come in,” said Phil Garhart, principal at Wyoming Indian High School in Ethete. “And I know from teaching in other places that it was exactly the same way.”
Due to the interest expressed by families and individuals not connected to the school communities involved in The CASPER Project, the GO FOR IT! Institute is offering the GO FOR IT! Seven Keys to Success Family Program to the public April 2nd – 18th (details below). This family program component is part of a national study being done by the University of Wyoming.
The GO FOR IT! Seven Keys to Success Family Program is being offered free with dinner and daycare included. There are no prerequisites required prior to attending this program. All adults and children are welcome.
The Trainings will focus on Keys 4 and 5
